Vice President <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/kamala-harris/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Kamala Harris</a> is scheduled to hold a rally with her new running mate, Gov. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/tim-walz/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Tim Walz</a> (D-MN), at 7 p.m. in <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/michigan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Michigan</a>.

Harris selected Walz on Tuesday after a long period of speculation following her becoming the Democratic nominee for president. Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) was also heavily considered.

Walz has already furthered his assault on Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), former President Donald Trump’s running mate, saying he would debate with him if Vance can “get off the couch.”
