 <span class="ArticlePage-articleBody-firstLetter">G</span>ov. <a class="Link" href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/glenn-youngkin" target="_blank">Glenn Youngkin</a> (R-VA) is hosting a Parents Matter conversation on Thursday in Fredericksburg, <a class="Link" href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/virginia" target="_blank">Virginia</a>.


Youngkin is touring several Virginia communities, speaking with families about their concerns regarding children and social media.

Currently, it is federally mandated that kids under 13 must get <a class="Link" href="https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-16/chapter-I/subchapter-C/part-312">parental permission</a> to join a social media site. Youngkin has said he wants that expanded to all kids under 18.


The event will begin at 11 a.m. EDT at the Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
