Republicans from the House of Representatives and Senate are holding a press conference amid debt ceiling negotiations between the White House and congressional leaders.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. and will feature GOP members from both chambers, a day after congressional leaders met with President Joe Biden at the White House to discuss the debt ceiling.

GOP leaders in the House have been the key players in the debt ceiling negotiations with the White House, with the lower chamber passing the Limit, Save, Grow Act, which would raise the debt ceiling along with capping spending.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has taken a back seat in the debt ceiling talks, pushing House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to lead the GOP side in negotiations.
