President Joe Biden is hosting a joint press conference with South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol after a bilateral meeting between the two leaders.

The joint press conference is set for 12:30 p.m. and will be hosted in the Rose Garden at the White House.

Earlier on Wednesday, Biden welcomed the South Korean leader with a lavish arrival ceremony and held a bilateral meeting with Yoon. Biden will be hosting Yoon at a state dinner at the White House on Wednesday evening.

The meeting comes as Biden seeks to reaffirm the alliance between the U.S. and South Korea amid tensions in the Asian Pacific region. It also comes a day after Biden announced he will seek reelection in 2024.
