


President Joe Biden will host the leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit at a retreat in San Francisco on Friday.
Biden will receive the APEC leaders on Friday afternoon, and during the retreat, he will transfer the position of APEC chairperson to Peruvian President Dina Boluarte.

The retreat will wrap up this week's summit with China and other Pacific nations. Biden had the second face-to-face meeting of his presidency with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday, which lasted several hours.

Biden will also visit with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Friday as one of the final meetings of the summit.
The president will begin receiving leaders for the retreat at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
