Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James injured his right foot Sunday in his team's 111-108 win over the Dallas Mavericks before returning to help the Lakers achieve the biggest comeback win in the NBA this season.
James sustained the injury in the third quarter after driving on Dwight Powell in an attempted layup and tweaking his foot as he landed in the paint, according to a report.

James's injury will be supervised by Lakers staff.
"It's been better," he said. "That's for sure. But I definitely wasn't going to go to the locker room and not finish the game out tonight. Just understood the importance of the game, and then with the momentum that we had, I felt like we could still win after being down."
"We'll monitor it the next couple days, see how it feels, and go from there," James added.
The Lakers had been down by 27 points in the first half, but the team rallied, with James playing an additional 10 minutes in the fourth quarter, the report noted.
Head coach Darvin Ham was unaware James said he had "heard a pop."
"I didn't hear that," Ham said. "I didn't hear him say that at all."
James ended the game with 26 points, 11 of which came in the final quarter following the injury, according to the report.

The Lakers are slated to fly to Memphis Monday, where they will face the Grizzlies before playing the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
"He's good," Ham said regarding James. "Our medical people are looking at him now. He'll be reevaluated again in the morning. So once we get some type of official word tomorrow, we'll go from there. But as of right now, he's good."
