Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings made Rep. George Santos (R-NY) the butt of a joke during the show Wednesday.

Santos pleaded not guilty to 13 charges earlier this month, including seven counts of wire fraud, three counts of money laundering, one count of theft of public funds, and two counts of making materially false statements to the House of Representatives. The first-term representative has also admitted to lying about most of his resume when running for office.

Jennings read the question for $800 in the "recent events" category as follows: “Subheads in a piece on this NY Rep.: ‘Lied about where he went to … college’; ‘Allegedly swindled a disabled vet whose dog was dying.'”

"Who is George Santos?" contestant Mattea Roach responded.

“I don’t get to say this very much, but George Santos is correct,” Jennings joked to a laughing audience.

Santos narrowly avoided expulsion last week. He faces a number of calls to resign from Democratic and Republican members of the House.

Jennings' co-host Mayim Bialik made a show of solidarity with the Writers Guild of America during the Jeopardy! season finale and opted to not host during the final week. The pair have been at the trivia show since 2020. Mike Richards was also temporarily a co-host alongside Bialik.
