NextImg:WATCH: Don Lemon returns to CNN, gets ‘training’ tips from Megyn Kelly

In anticipation of CNN host Don Lemon’s return to the air as host of CNN This Morning, media personality Megyn Kelly offered some helpful “training” tips following his comments last week that suggested Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley was past her prime.

Lemon’s comments garnered criticism across the media landscape, with reports that even female staff members at CNN threatened to quit should he not be fired.

CNN SET TO KEEP DON LEMON WITH CONDITION OF ‘FORMAL TRAINING’

Ahead of Lemon’s return, CNN CEO Chris Licht announced the morning show host will undergo training.

“The farce of CNN,” Kelly said during The Megyn Kelly Show on SiriusXM. “Sending him for reeducation camp, which is so absurd — like that's going to work. I guess we just have to pretend that he's going to learn how not to be a sexist at this camp. I don’t know what the camp looks like. Did they put Chris Cuomo through the camp? Did they put Jeff Zucker through the camp? Because their camp sucks.”

Kelly suggested her own plan for Lemon before listing off several tips on “how not to be a misogynist” based on previous comments for which the CNN host has been slammed.

She began by noting that “women are not damaged goods when they hit 40,” referring to Lemon’s comments about Haley being past her prime.

Kelly also said, “Rape victims don't need your lecture on how to respond to their rape,” referencing a 2014 conversation Lemon had with one of Bill Cosby’s accusers.

“Women forgetting a fact do not have mommy brain — they're human,” she added about an interaction with S.E. Cupp in September.

Among other points, Kelly also suggested that “screaming at your female co-anchor because she interrupted you to the point where she runs away is considered rude and unprofessional” — a note connected to sour interactions between Lemon and fellow co-anchor Kaitlan Collins.

Kelly told guest Glenn Beck that she believes Lemon is “uncancelable at CNN” because he “gets away with stuff you would never get away with.”

“No, and I shouldn't get away with it,” Beck responded. “None of us should get away with it. This is why I think the Left is easy to beat if you just call them on it — if you don't flinch and you call them on it. Because they cannot back anything up. They are weak. They haven't been pushed, so they can't refine their argument even. … They have never been pushed. Anyone who is a conservative has been pushed up against the wall over and over and over again.”

Kelly is not alone in offering “training” tips for Lemon. Comedian Jimmy Failla also suggested that “Lemon shouldn’t be treated for sensitivity. He should be treated for stupid.”

“He’s just got to go get over himself because what is happening is political analysis for him is emotional,” Failla said on Jesse Watters Primetime. “And when you’re leading from a place of emotion, it’s denying you the self-awareness that should tell you sound like an idiot. So, maybe dial down the emotion a little bit. I hate to man flame, but here we are.”
