The View's Ana Navarro attacked Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for being "sanctimonious" on Monday, agreeing with former President Donald Trump's jabs at his expected 2024 opponent.

"Dude, by the time you got his endorsement, we'd heard Access Hollywood. We knew [Trump] had paid hush money. We knew exactly who Donald Trump is," Navarro began. "So stop acting sanctimonious because you knew exactly who he was when you got his endorsement and that’s who you lay with."

"So deal with it," she said.

She was referring specifically to DeSantis's comments on the potential indictment of Trump in New York City in connection to alleged hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels.

"I don't know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I can't speak to that," DeSantis recently said, further slamming Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for what he said would be "an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office."

However, Navarro said DeSantis should drop the "sanctimonious" act because, according to her, Trump has always shown his true colors — even when the Florida governor accepted his endorsement.

She added that "as a Floridian, I’m highly entertained by this fight between DeSantis and Trump. It feels like Godzilla versus King Kong."

The host claimed she didn't know which one she is rooting for less, though.

"But he is not wrong," she said of Trump. "He is a liar in chief but he's not wrong about that."

"When the Florida primary for governor for Republican was going on, agriculture commissioner at the time, Adam Putnam, was leading DeSantis by about 20 points just a couple months before the election. Then Trump tweeted out his endorsement for Desantis. Trump stumped for DeSantis, and DeSantis routed Adam Putnam," she explained.

"So it is not wrong that Ron DeSantis owes the governorship of Florida that has put him into this platform to Donald Trump," Navarro claimed.

DeSantis has yet to announce a bid for the White House in 2024. However, he is expected to launch a campaign in the summer. He recently did an interview with Piers Morgan in which he took jabs at Trump for the first time and entertained the idea of a possible run for the presidency.
