NextImg:Wall Street Journal report against Trump is ‘the answer’ to stop his ‘wins’: Salena Zito - Washington Examiner

Washington Examiner’s Salena Zito is the latest to scrutinize a Wall Street Journal report against President Donald Trump, saying she did not believe it “for a second” on BlazeTV.

Trump is suing Wall Street Journal owner Rupert Murdoch and the paper’s publisher, Dow Jones & Co., after the outlet published a story on Trump’s relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The report describes a birthday letter, along with a marker drawing of a nude female body that the president allegedly wrote to Epstein in 2003.

The president condemned the report as “false, malicious, and defamatory,” while announcing his lawsuit. Zito likewise rebuked the story, saying “that’s not his signature,” and that Trump would not be “that sloppy” when drawing a picture.

“Take a look at all of the wins that the president has had, not just since he was sworn in, but just in the space of the last six weeks. It’s been unprecedented in history!” Zito said on BlazeTV Sunday.

“So, how do you stop those wins if you don’t like what he’s doing? That’s the question, and I think the Wall Street Journal provides the answer,” Zito said.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, an ex-ally to the president, also expressed skepticism about the report, saying Thursday on X, “It really doesn’t sound like something Trump would say.”

Zito also said it is possible those pushing this new story on Trump and Epstein were “prepping to do this” and that they were aware “a bigger problem is coming their way.”

Some House Oversight members have called for arrests after unsealed Obama administration records revealed “manufactured and politicized intelligence” on the claims Russia interfered with the 2016 election.

National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard said Sunday there is enough evidence to move forward with prosecutions, urging indictments “for those responsible.”
