A campaign official for Vivek Ramaswamy has changed camps to join former President Donald Trump.
Brian Swensen, a campaign director based in New Hampshire, departed Ramaswamy's campaign for Trump's. However, Ramaswamy's camp told the Washington Examiner's Julia Johnson that the departure was amicable and expected. They added that Swensen remains well-liked, and their relationship with him is still a good one.

Swensen initially came on as a national political director, and his role was minimized over time as Republican strategist Mike Biundo was brought on the campaign.
The move reflects the similarities between Trump and Ramaswamy's campaigns and their continued amiability.

Despite Ramaswamy polling among the top four contenders, including Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, Ramaswamy has been the only major Republican candidate to maintain good relations with the former president. In contrast, DeSantis and Haley have become openly hostile toward him.
Trump continues to dominate the polls, leading the other candidates by over 50 points in recent polls. A recent poll from the Morning Consult had Trump at 64%, and he was trailed by DeSantis at 14%, Haley at 10%, and Ramaswamy at 6%.
