NextImg:Vivek Ramaswamy bravely calls the climate change agenda ’a hoax’

Many people are discussing Vivek Ramaswamy’s performance at the Republican debate last night. Some people thought he was too cocky, some thought he was annoying, and others claimed he acted like an arrogant frat boy.

He was the rookie on the stage with the least amount of political experience among all the candidates, but he asserted himself like he had been doing it for years. And perhaps the best example of this was when he declared the climate change agenda “a hoax.”

UP FOR DEBATE: WHERE TRUMP, DESANTIS, AND REST OF REPUBLICAN 2024 FIELD STAND ON KEY ISSUES

“Let us be honest as Republicans,” Ramaswamy said. “I’m the only person on the stage who isn’t bought and paid for, so I can say this: The climate change agenda is a hoax.”

The response brought jeers from the crowd. Some outlets, undoubtedly sycophants of the climate change crowd, claimed that the boos were for calling the climate change agenda a hoax. However, it was really for Ramaswamy’s “bought and paid for” statement, not climate change. Admittedly, I disagreed with the claim and thought it was one of Ramaswamy’s missteps for the night. But, even so, such things happen to newcomers.

However, the vital part was that Ramaswamy had enough guts to call the climate change agenda a hoax — something his counterparts did not do. And, whether one liked Ramaswamy’s bravado or not, it was essential to call out the flaws, deceptions, and cult-like devotion to climate change. Climate change fanatics are promoting scientific theories as absolute facts and using them to influence policy and force massive lifestyle changes on the world’s people. At tonight’s debate stage, Ramaswamy dared to reject that agenda.

Whether you approved of Ramaswamy or thought he was too brash for his own good, that is an opinion on style preferences. But Ramaswamy brought substance. I can’t say I agreed with all of his positions; however, the fact that he took the climate change monster head-on deserves accolades and recognition. Hopefully, other Republicans will follow suit.
