An appeals <a class="Link" href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/court" target="_blank">court</a> in Virginia upheld an admissions policy used by Thomas Jefferson High School on Tuesday. The policy removed some <a class="Link" href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/standardized-tests" target="_blank">standardized testing</a> requirements, and people argued the change in admissions criteria was discriminatory against <a class="Link" href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/asian-americans" target="_blank">Asian American</a> students.

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals said in a 2-1 ruling that the school's admissions process did not unconstitutionally discriminate against Asian students and was not in violation of the Equal Protection Clause.
