NextImg:Virginia congressional candidate refuses to protect women from sex offenders

The two candidates for Virginia’s Congressional District 11, Stewart Whitson and James Walkinshaw, disagree radically when it comes to registered Tier III sex felon Richard Kenneth Cox. Cox is an adult male, who now claims to be a woman, with a history of masturbating in front of children, exposing his male genitals to girls and women in female-only spaces around Fairfax and Arlington counties, and committing sexual assault against a woman.

Last year, Cox was arrested on charges of his crimes, but Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano refused to prosecute him, earning him a scathing rebuke from Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares. The office of Arlington County Commonwealth’s Attorney Parisa Dehgani-Tafti is now prosecuting Cox on a score of charges, including indecent exposure, taking indecent liberties with children, and both loitering and entering a school as a sex offender.

How could such outrages have happened in Fairfax County, where Walkinshaw, who advertises himself as a champion for women, has served as a supervisor during much of the time this has transpired?

In a nutshell, Cox claims, with no scientific evidence, that he is an adult human female and thus has a right to access female-only spaces. As is clear to any honest person with a passing knowledge of the human species and who takes one look at him, Cox is not an adult human female. Nor has Cox produced any evidence showing that he belongs to the .018% of the human population that is biologically intersex or that he is one of the 100 humans in all of medical history who have displayed chimerism.

To the benefit of sexual predators like Cox, however, Walkinshaw and his Democrat allies, for all their professions of devotion to science, require no such scientific evidence from people who say the magic words that Mr. Cox says. Instead, they believe (or pretend they do) that adult human males who merely claim that they are adult human females are, in fact, human females, and not mentally disturbed men with gender dysphoria or strong urges to show their penises to little girls. They believe this unscientific nonsense with such intense religious fervor that they have included it in their cultural Marxist creed of “One Fairfax,” are spending millions of taxpayer dollars to evangelize residents and enforce their ideology, and have refused to protect little girls from the most dangerous kind of sex felon.

I wrote to Walkinshaw asking him whether he supported letting biological males use locker rooms for biological females, what actions he took to ensure that Cox was prosecuted, what he’s currently doing to make sure that such a violation of girls and women in Fairfax County never happens again, and what actions he would take to protect girls and women from male sexual predators claiming to be women if he were elected to national office.

Walkinshaw refused to respond. However, we already know that he has tacitly supported the county’s flawed policy for years, that Walkinshaw has refused to answer journalist Nick Minock’s questions on this matter, and that he, along with his fellow Democrats, has refused to discuss Cox’s case at a board meeting.

Whitson, by contrast, responded immediately to my questions without evasion or subterfuge. As to whether he supports allowing biological males to use locker rooms for biological females, Whitson replied, “Unequivocally no. As a father of five school-aged children and a former federal law enforcement officer who has spent his career protecting families, I believe every child deserves a safe and private space. Forcing biological girls to share locker rooms or restrooms with biological males is unfair and puts our daughters’ dignity and safety at risk. Fairfax County’s radical policies ignore common sense and the concerns of parents. I will always stand up for the rights of girls and women to have their own private facilities.”

THE DEMOCRATS WHO ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT

Regarding what he would do if elected to federal office, to protect women from male sexual predators posing as women, Whitson said, “Protecting women and girls will be one of my top priorities. At the federal level, I will support legislation that upholds the integrity of women’s sports and private spaces — ensuring that biological males cannot exploit loopholes to gain access to women’s locker rooms, shelters, or prisons. I will back laws that strengthen penalties for sexual predators and mandate that federal funding respects basic biological distinctions for safety and fairness.”

The choice in this election is between a candidate who affirms biological facts and one who denies them, between one who protects girls and women from sexual predators and one who aids and abets those predators, between one who praises the emperor’s new clothes and one who points out the naked truth that only the willfully blind refuse to see.
