Pornography is a poison that ruins people’s minds, souls, and sex lives.
For children, it is particularly devastating. America would be better off if every pornographer went out of business and every web hosting service, internet provider, and web browser cut off access to pornography.
TRANSGENDER TIKTOK STAR DYLAN MULVANEY WANTS TO CRIMINALIZE FREE SPEECHThat’s unlikely ever to happen, but Utah scored a minor victory this week when porn-peddler MindGeek — the company that owns PornHub and other obscene services that degrade and exploit women while poisoning minds and ruining lives — announced it would block access to its websites from all IP addresses within Utah. This was MindGeek’s protest against Utah’s new law requiring age verification for everyone visiting pornographic websites or other sites with sexually explicit material.

This is, of course, a double win for Utah. The law protects children from porn, and PornHub/MindGeek’s reaction protects Utah's adults from porn. Every governor in America should do whatever it takes to get the same reaction out of PornHub.
One expert predicted precisely that, telling Axios , “It's looking more and more like adult sites are going to block off a significant section of the country.”
This is like a drug cartel threatening to cut off your city because you passed tougher penalties for selling fentanyl.
Utah has also taken steps to protect children from other sorts of digital toxins. Social media is well known to harm children, causing anxiety, low self-image, and depression. Our recent editorial praised the law and called on Congress to act likewise:
“The law isn’t perfect — no law is. Some tech-savvy children will of course figure out ways to outmaneuver their parents’ limitations and monitoring. But the same has been true for decades of alcohol, cigarettes, and sexually explicit materials in the real world. Just because a law won’t work perfectly doesn’t mean states shouldn’t try and give parents all the tools possible to protect their children from harmful and addictive items.
“And it shouldn’t be just the states that are left to do the heavy lifting here. House Republicans, looking to solidify their brand as the ‘family party,’ couldn’t ask for a better issue. This is a national problem that requires a national solution.”
With the latest developments in Utah, congressional Republicans should create a new goal: pass a law that will provoke PornHub to cut off the entire U.S.
