This year’s U.S. women’s soccer team was terrible. In their last two games, they could not score even one goal. It was a total embarrassment from a team that became more known for their antics off the field than their victories on it.
Because as bad as their performance was, their lack of patriotism and the anti-American sentiment of their radical left-wing politics was even worse.

Megan Rapinoe, the face of the USWNT’s pivot from success in competitive soccer to left-wing political activism, had the opportunity to save the team on Sunday. But she choked and missed wide on a penalty kick the same way she, and many on her team, spent the last few years missing wide on politics.
Rapinoe and her henchwomen were supposed to represent the country on women’s soccer’s biggest stage. Instead, they embarrassed the nation and were outright hated by many in the country because of their crusading.
Rapinoe and her teammates promoted numerous lies that contributed to the political divide in the country. They repeatedly advanced narratives such as the claims that police hunt unarmed black men, LGBTQ people are unsafe in the country, and women don’t receive equal pay because of discrimination against their gender. Their assertions and accusations are as accurate as Rapinoe’s penalty kick on Sunday.
Furthermore, Rapinoe and her accomplices refused to sing and acknowledge the national anthem, drawing the ire of many. They took a misguided stand against the country, portraying the United States as a brutal, racist, and oppressive regime that terrorizes anyone who isn’t a wealthy, heterosexual, white male.
It was a disgraceful act of entitlement and selfishness – and it led to many in the country enjoying schadenfreude because of the team’s defeat. The resentment toward this team speaks volumes of their lack of class and appreciation of the country.

Never has an American team or group of American athletes been more despised by the country than this group of athletes. They were never fighting for real or meaningful change; they were trying to cash in by becoming celebrities.
Both the team’s competitive failures and the distorted, manipulative, extremist politics of this cadre of activist athletes should be consigned to the ash heap of history.
