NextImg:US Embassy in Israel damaged in overnight Iranian strikes

The United States Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, sustained some damage during Iran’s latest overnight missile strikes on the Jewish nation. 

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced early Monday morning that the embassy suffered “minor damage” after an Iranian missile landed close to the building. Footage released Monday morning showed broken glass and damaged windows near the embassy building, according to Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom

The embassy will remain closed on Monday, although there were no injuries to U.S. personnel, according to Huckabee. 

President Donald Trump pledged on Sunday to bring an end to the conflict between Israel and Iran, revealing that negotiations are underway to secure a peace deal. 

Over the weekend, the State Department said it would allow family members and selected nonemergency U.S. government personnel to leave the country, with all others sheltering until further notice.

Iran has launched 370 missiles and hundreds of drones since the start of the war, bringing the total Israeli death toll to at least 24, according to Israeli officials.

Those wounded since hostilities began Friday have risen to 592, with 10 of those in serious condition, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.   

In Iran, at least 224 people have been killed since the conflict sparked, according to the regime’s health ministry.

TRUMP VOWS ISRAEL AND IRAN ‘WILL MAKE A DEAL’ TO END CONFLICT

Israel launched the conflict last week over concerns about Iran’s nuclear and military capabilities.

Israel Defense Forces’ “Operation Rising Lion” has wiped out much of Iran’s military command and its leading nuclear scientists, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’s entire air force command. Netanyahu revealed Sunday that Iran’s intelligence chief and his deputy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were also killed after an Israeli strike.
