The planned party for the fraternity brothers who protected the American flag at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been delayed to later this year.
Conservative Dad’s, which planned to provide free Ultra Right Beer for the party, announced that the delay was due to how this party has attracted national attention, with some people making plans to travel across several states to attend Tuesday night’s event. Because of this, the party has been delayed to a later date this year, with Conservative Dad’s free beer now being donated to a local chapter of a veterans organization.
“I’m certainly disappointed for everyone who worked so hard to make this event happen, but I understand the concern for that many people descending upon one fraternity with short notice,” Seth Weathers, the CEO of Conservative Dad’s, said. “I am thrilled to know this many patriotic Americans were willing to travel and commit their time to celebrating America and the unique freedoms we enjoy. I look forward to being part of a larger event in the near future to celebrate all involved.”
Conservative Dad’s is working with Kappa Alpha on the donation to the veterans organization. Ayden Fussell, the president of UNC Kappa Alpha, shared his gratitude for the support that the school’s fraternities have received in the wake of their viral defense of the U.S. flag.
“We are more grateful than ever for our military veterans who gave us the uniquely American right to free speech,” Fussell said. “If anyone deserves a cold Ultra Right on the house, it’s them.”
The party for UNC’s fraternities had gained massive media attention due to a fundraiser on GoFundMe that raised over $500,000 for the event. The party was meant to be held to honor the men who protected the U.S. flag from pro-Palestinian protesters last week.

Country singer John Rich offered to perform his music at the party, which he referred to as “Flagstock,” a patriotic take on the iconic Woodstock concert. The singer also praised the men for displaying courage and patriotism in their defense of the flag.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and his team also sent free Chick-fil-A to the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity that protected the flag as a “thank you.”
A new date for the “rager” has not been announced.
