


Business magnate Elon Musk is set to auction off the old Twitter building signs and other relics of a time past as the billionaire continues with the platform's rebranding to X.
Large bird cages, oil paintings, desks, chairs, and a DJ booth are among the 584 lots listed for the auction, according to a report.

Oil paintings included in the sale feature the likenesses of Ellen DeGeneres's 2014 Academy Awards selfie in one piece and the image former President Barack Obama tweeted following his November 2012 reelection.
Called "Twitter Rebranding: Online Auction Featuring Memorabilia, Art, Office Assets & More!," the sale will be held by Heritage Global Partners from Sept. 12-14.
The buyer's premium sits at 19%, and the sales tax is listed at 8.63%.

At least one of the signs up for auction purportedly remains outside the company's San Francisco headquarters.
"Bird is still mounted on side of the building. Buyer is responsible for hiring an SF Licensed Company with appropriate Permits," according to the listing.
