A senior adviser for former President Donald Trump's campaign issued a scathing statement on Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) reported campaign reset.
In the Tuesday afternoon statement, Jason Miller likened the campaign's reboot to "Dynasty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or even MacGyver," which he says "were never going to be successful."

He added, "The DeSantis campaign doesn’t know how to turn things around with their current candidate."
He took aim at the rival campaign for scheduling a news appearance with CNN's Jake Tapper on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., claiming he "could have easily joined one of CNN’s high-profile prime-time hosts and reached millions of new voters if he had something compelling to say."
Miller further characterized the Florida governor's campaign trajectory as a nosedive, calling DeSantis an "unlikable candidate" with "no campaign message and rapidly sinking poll numbers."
This comes after DeSantis's campaign reportedly let go of nearly a dozen staff members amid concerns of donor worries.
Questions also arose about the Florida Republican's campaign after it was revealed that despite outraising other contenders in the Republican primary field, he has significantly less cash on hand than Trump or Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).

In new polling from Morning Consult, Trump fell 1 percentage point, while DeSantis gained 1 point. This change is, however, within the poll's margin of error, which is plus or minus 1-2 percentage points.
In a different poll published on Tuesday by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, Trump appeared to lose ground against some of his primary competitors, namely DeSantis and Scott. His previous 20-point lead over DeSantis had fallen to just 14 points, while the governor held steady. Scott increased his support in the state by 6 points.
