The retail chain Target has caused quite a controversy with its LGBT clothing merchandise ahead of so-called Pride Month in June. Many people were shocked, and legitimately outraged, when a special bathing suit for transgender people that was “tuck-friendly” was on full display. More disturbingly, it was located directly across the LGBT clothes for children. The whole promotional display looked like a brainwashing center of LGBT paraphernalia.

Other than finding it extremely disturbing, my first reaction was that if there is a swimsuit designed for men to “tuck” their genitalia so they can pretend they are women, maybe the existence of it is yet further proof such men aren’t actually women. Obviously, women do not have penises, so there would be no need to hide them. Moreover, such people comprise a minimal percentage of the population; should it really be displayed in such a prominent retail location? What other purpose would this serve other than helping advance a particular agenda?

AMERICA ISN'T READY FOR THE ERA OF AI NATIONAL SECURITY THREATS

Moreover, the main question here is, why is the company targeting (pun intended) children with LGBT clothing? Also, why have a “tuck-friendly” swimsuit in close proximity to children’s clothes? Granted, all of the merchandise was together in a dedicated section of the store — conveniently located at the entrance. However, short of trying to subliminally brainwash children into believing that “tucking” is normal, there’s no excuse for such clothing to be this prominently displayed.

Target was one of the pioneers in retail chain promotions of LGBT efforts, especially transgender issues. It may seem like ancient history now, but back in 2016, Target was one of the first mainstream companies to promote the transgender bathroom policy, which allowed guests to use the restrooms that matched their so-called gender identity. Seven years later, should we be surprised that it sells a “tuck-friendly” bathing suit for transgender people?

Target is free to market whatever merchandise they want to sell. That is part of living in a free country like the United States. However, they are also free to experience the backlash of such initiatives. Obviously, this shouldn’t include any violence or property destruction; however, as Bud Light recently showed, genuflecting to the LGBT mob isn’t the wisest or most profitable decision. If corporations want to continue to advance left-wing cultural agendas, they should be prepared for the financial ramifications.
