Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) slammed President Joe Biden's border policies by arguing they leave the country vulnerable to terrorist attacks on the scale of what happened on 9/11 "every few weeks."

Tuberville said Biden should have instructed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to put the military at the southern border as soon as the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks happened in Israel, citing the lack of knowledge of the backgrounds of illegal immigrants entering the United States. He made the comments while speaking on Newsmax's Eric Bolling The Balance on Monday.

'DISAPPOINTED' BIDEN APOLOGIZED AFTER SHOWING SKEPTICISM ABOUT HAMAS DEATH TOLL CLAIMS

“What happened in Israel and Hamas, that catastrophe going on over there, when that happened, Joe Biden should’ve woke up and called Secretary Austin and said, ‘OK, send every available military personnel to the border immediately. Close it down. Nobody else comes in,'" Tuberville said.

The Alabama Republican also said the Biden administration "could care less" about the U.S.-Mexico border and warned of the dangers the current policy could present.

“We’re gonna have a 9/11 attack every few weeks if we don’t watch it. It is out of control. But this group could care less. You know, being a senator, you know, I’m not a senator. I was an educator, and I’m up here watching what’s going on, and I’m thinking, you know, who cares? Who cares about the American people? Who cares about the taxpayers of this country? I can’t find anybody on both sides of the aisle. It’s about spending damn money, and I’m sick of it,” Tuberville said.

"I’m telling you, I’m sick of it. I’m sick of watching what’s going on up here, and if we don’t wake up, it’s gonna be over," he added.

Tuberville has made headlines for his hold on military promotions, which he began earlier this year in protest of the Defense Department's policy of paying for travel expenses for service members to go out of state to obtain an abortion.
