President Donald Trump is as popular today as he was on his second Inauguration Day, buoyed by support for his focus on ending illegal immigration.

In a collection of polls, Trump’s approval rating and how the public views the right track/wrong track direction of the country are on a steady march upward, likely providing the president with more political muscle to help push his agenda through Congress.

While his numbers were already good, the recent crackdown on illegal immigration and deportation raids in Los Angeles helped to boost his numbers.

One non-partisan pollster that conducts daily Trump approval ratings is Rasmussen Reports, and said on Wednesday that the president’s latest five-day approval average is 52%.

The daily numbers, however, show that as the Los Angeles crisis hit a crescendo this week with Trump’s calling up of the National Guard and U.S. Marine Corps to back up local police, the president hit an approval of 56%.

Said the outfit on X: “Trump’s single overnight approval is in. Last night single overnight approval – 55.64%. Overall 5-day approval will also be up today as a result.”
