Former President Donald Trump will appear in court on Monday for the start of the civil trial regarding his New York business practices.
The civil trial brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James could result in Trump being barred from doing business in the state. Judge Arthur Engoron is presiding over the trial and already ruled last week that Trump routinely committed fraud while pursuing loans and other business deals.
SUPREME COURT THREAT HOVERS OVER NEW BIDEN FCC NET NEUTRALITY PUSH
"I'm going to Court tomorrow morning to fight for my name and reputation against a corrupt and racist Attorney General, Letitia James, who campaigned on 'getting Trump,' and a Trump Hating Judge who is unfair, unhinged, and vicious in his PURSUIT of me," Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday. "He values Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, at 18 Million Dollars, when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount. His valuations are FRAUDULENT in pursuit of Election Interference, and worse. THIS WHOLE CASE IS A SHAM!!! See you in Court — Monday morning."

The former president has largely refrained from appearing in court in person for any of the dozens of indictments he is facing and previously referred to Engoron's fraud ruling as a "corporate death penalty."
In addition to the fraud ruling, Engoron will hear six other claims brought forward by James, including falsifying business records, insurance fraud, and conspiracy.
