President Donald Trump told members of Congress at a reception Tuesday to say former President Barack Obama “cheated on the election,” if the media do not ask them “appropriate” questions.

Trump has been attacking former President Barack Obama following intense media attention concerning Trump’s relationship with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“But remember this: Obama cheated on the election, and we have it cold, hard, blue, and it’s getting even more so,” Trump said, “because the stuff that’s coming in is not even believable.”

“You should mention that every time they give you a question that’s not appropriate, just say, ‘Oh, by the way, Obama cheated on the election.’ You’ll watch the camera turn off instantly,” Trump added.

Trump expressed frustration with the media’s coverage of his relationship with Epstein, which saw a boom when Trump called the Epstein files a “hoax” after previously promising to release them earlier Tuesday in a Truth Social post.

“We had the Greatest Six Months of any President in the History of our Country, and all the Fake News wants to talk about is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax!” he wrote.

Trump also hinted on Tuesday that Obama could be prosecuted after the latter’s administration reportedly ignored intelligence community assessments suggesting that Russia wasn’t directly meddling in the 2016 election.

“Whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people,” Trump said, bringing up the report published by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Friday alleging that the Obama White House sought to tie Trump’s 2016 campaign to Russia.

“Based on what I read, and I read pretty much what you read, it would be President Obama. He started it, and Biden was there with him, and Comey was there, and Clapper. The whole group was there,” he told reporters. “This was treason. This was every word you can think of. They tried to steal the election. They tried to obfuscate the election. They did things that nobody’s ever even imagined.”

TRUMP BACKS OBAMA PROSECUTION AMID GOP BLOWBACK ON EPSTEIN: ‘THIS WAS TREASON’

Patrick Rodenbush, an Obama spokesman, called Trump’s claims “ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”

“Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one,” he said in a statement. “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”
