President Donald Trump previewed an executive order to “dismantle” domestic left-wing terrorist networks after a gunman killed a detainee at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility on Wednesday.
“The continuing violence from Radical Left Terrorists, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, must be stopped. ICE Officers, and other Brave Members of Law Enforcement, are under grave threat. We have already declared ANTIFA a Terrorist Organization, and I will be signing an Executive Order this week to dismantle these Domestic Terrorism Networks,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

In his first statement on the shooting, Trump noted the “deranged shooter,” who was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, had anti-ICE messages written on his shell casings. He called the attack “despicable” and pledged prompt action to halt further left-wing violence, blaming the attack on inflammatory rhetoric from Democrats and others on the Left.
“The Brave Men and Women of ICE are just trying to do their jobs, and remove the ‘WORST of the WORST’ Criminals out of our Country, but they are facing an unprecedented increase in threats, violence, and attacks by Deranged Radical Leftists. This violence is the result of the Radical Left Democrats constantly demonizing Law Enforcement, calling for ICE to be demolished, and comparing ICE Officers to ‘Nazis,'” he said in a post on Truth Social.

The president signed an executive order designating antifa a terrorist organization on Monday, following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk by a gunman with antifa messages on his shell casings. Antifa is a network of left-wing cells that pursue terrorism as a means of combating what they consider to be fascism. The network is difficult to combat due to its decentralized nature.
TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER DECLARING ANTIFA A DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION
It’s unclear what Trump’s executive order will add to his Monday executive order, but it could pursue those providing financial or other support to antifa cells.
Wednesday’s shooting was the third major act of political violence in just two weeks after the Kirk assassination and a shooting at an ABC TV station by a gunman who allegedly had anti-Trump writings. The surge in violence has pushed many on the Right to call for a crackdown on left-wing violence and likewise fueled allegations from Democrats that Trump is overstepping in his power.
