Former President Donald Trump slammed the judge overseeing his civil fraud trial in New York, calling him an "out of control "nut job.""
Trump attacked New York Judge Arthur Engoron in a Truth Social post on Saturday after a ruling was issued requiring his daughter, Ivanka Trump, to testify in court. Trump described Engoron as "unhinged" and an "out of control "nut job."" Ivanka had previously been released from testifying by the Court of Appeals.

"I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me. This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed," Trump argued.
Engoron is an "out of control "Nut Job," who fined me $10,000 over a ridiculous Gag Order so that the publicity for the day would take over from the fact that Racist James and the Judge's Star Witness admitted LYING TO CONGRESS on the stand - CASE OVER!"
Trump has regularly attacked Engoron, calling him a "partisan political hack" and a "radical Trump hater." He has also posted several images of him. For example, he posted a picture of Engoron's clerk next to Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and falsely called the woman Schumer's "girlfriend."
Engoron responded by imposing a gag order barring Trump from disparaging court staff. He also fined Trump $10,000 on Wednesday for his second violation of the gag order.
Ivanka Trump was initially part of the $250 million lawsuit filed against the Trump Organization last year, but she was dismissed from the case by an appeals court in June.

"The allegations against defendant Ivanka Trump do not support any claims that accrued after February 6, 2016," the June decision dismissing her from the case said. "Thus, all claims against her should have been dismissed as untimely."
The case against Donald Trump stems from a lawsuit New York Attorney General Letitia James filed last year alleging fraud by the Trump Organization. She is seeking $250 million in damages, along with trying to block Donald Trump from doing business in New York. Engoron has already found Donald Trump liable for the fraud claims, but now the nonjury trial will proceed to examine the six lawsuits brought by James.
