Former President Donald Trump warned that President Joe Biden is bad for the United States on Thursday, calling him "grossly incompetent" during his first campaign rally since Biden announced his reelection campaign.

Trump said the country is in a dangerous position under Biden and that the current president is "very close" to destroying the U.S. and its values.

TRUMP FOLLOWS BUSINESS MODEL BY SLAPPING HIS NAME ON TRADE PLAN

“We are a nation in serious decline, a nation that has lost its way,” Trump told a New Hampshire audience. "It is Biden who poses the threat to democracy because he is grossly incompetent, he has no idea what he is doing, and basically, he doesn’t have a clue, and that is a very bad position to put our country in. We are led by a hopeless person."

Trump revealed that he was retiring the word "crooked" when referring to former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and would reserve it for Biden instead.

"I’m going to give [Clinton] a new name — I don’t know, like maybe ‘Lovely Hillary’ or ‘Beautiful Hillary,'" Trump said. "But I’m going to retire the name ‘Crooked’ so that we can use the name for Joe Biden, because he’ll be known from now on as ‘Crooked Joe Biden.' There has never been anyone in the history of American politics so crooked or dishonest as Joe Biden."

Biden announced on Tuesday that he was seeking reelection in 2024, ending months of speculation about his future. However, polling has indicated many Democrats would rather see another candidate secure the nomination rather than the current president.

"Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy," Biden said in a prerecorded message. "To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours. That’s why I’m running for reelection as president of the United States."

Biden ousted Trump in their most recent matchup in 2020, ending Trump's tenure after just one term in office. Trump announced his own bid for the White House last November, but he has since faced a myriad of legal troubles.
