Former President Donald Trump addressed the nation in a CNN town hall on Wednesday. The event started with Trump refusing to admit a loss in the 2020 election.
"We did fantastically," he said of his previous administration and the 2020 election. "When you look at that result, and you look at what happened during that election, unless you're a very stupid person, you see what happened."

"It was a rigged election, and it's a shame we had to go through that. It's very bad for our country," Trump continued.
Trump appeared from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire for a town hall with CNN. The moderator for the event was CNN This Morning anchor Kaitlan Collins, whom the former president has sparred with in the past.
Collins, who repeatedly fact-checked Trump, tried to ask the former president to admit that he lost the election publicly, but she was met with opposition.
"I think it's a shame of what happened, I think it's a very sad thing for our country, and I think it's a very sad thing, frankly, for the world," Trump said. "Our country goes to hell."
Trump went on to say he would focus on the future.
“We’re at a point now we’re getting so close — let’s just win it again and straighten out our country,” Trump said.
When asked if he had regrets, Trump called Jan. 6, 2021, an “unbelievable and beautiful day.”
“I made a speech. I said, ‘Walk peacefully and patriotically,’” Trump said.
The CNN town hall comes one day after the former president was found liable for sexual assault and defamation in the case brought by E. Jean Carroll, a former Elle magazine writer who accused Trump of raping her in the 1990s.
