PHILADELPHIA — Former president Donald Trump joked Saturday at his Pennsylvania rally that he proposed a new martial arts organization to UFC President Dana White called the “Migrant Fight League.”

Trump made the joke as he pointed out how “tough” some of the illegal immigrants coming over the border are, particularly the ones who commit violent crimes in the United States.

“I said, Dana, Dana, I have an idea for you to make a lot of money,” Trump said. “You’re going to go and start a new Migrant Fight League. Migrants, only migrants. And then at the end of the year, the champion migrant is going to fight your champion. And I hate to tell you, Dana, I think the migrant might win. That’s how tough they are.”

Trump referred to some of the illegal immigrants as “tough cookies,” claiming many come from prisons and mental institutions. He mentioned recent examples of an illegal immigrant who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Iowa and another who allegedly raped and killed a 37-year-old mother in Maryland.

He promised to “end Biden migrant crime,” which he said is a “new category” of crime.

“When I return to the White House, we will stop the plunder, rape, slaughter, and destruction of our American suburbs, cities, and towns,” Trump vowed.

In his second term, Trump said he would “shut down deadly sanctuary cities,” shift a large number of federal law enforcement officers to immigration enforcement, and “on Day One, we will begin the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.”

Nearly every Trump supporter the Washington Examiner interviewed at the Philadelphia rally had the border crisis among their top two priorities in the election this November. This coincides with previous interviews with rallygoers and polls suggesting illegal immigration is one of the top concerns this election cycle, especially among Republicans.
