Former President Donald Trump said he is “OK” with the possibility of being sentenced to time in jail or on house arrest after being found guilty on 34 felony counts related to business fraud last week.

“I’m OK with it,” Trump told Fox News Sunday in an interview. “I don’t know that the public would stand it. I’m not sure that the public would stand for it.”

Trump was convicted on all 34 counts Thursday following a three-week trial about hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Following the jury verdict late last week, Trump condemned Judge Juan Merchan, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, former fixer Michael Cohen, President Joe Biden, and the state of the country during a press conference in New York City.

Trump has vowed to appeal the decision to the New York Appeals Court.

As a convicted felon, Trump is still able to hold public office because it was in the New York court system.

However, if convicted in federal court, he would be banned from running for any office.
