Carlos De Oliveira, a co-defendant in the case against former President Donald Trump in Florida, appeared in federal court in Fort Pierce on Thursday, but had not retained a local practicing attorney, forcing the judge to delay his arraignment a second time.

De Oliveira did not enter a plea during the appearance, and his arraignment was postponed until Aug. 15, CBS reported.

De Oliveira, a property manager at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence, was indicted last month on four felony charges related to allegations he conspired to delete surveillance footage at the property last year to prevent federal investigators from obtaining the footage.

The charges came in a superseding indictment brought by special counsel Jack Smith in the ongoing case alleging Trump illegally held classified documents after he left office.

Smith charged Trump in June with 31 counts of willful retention of national defense information, among other related charges, and also charged his aide Walt Nauta in the case.

Both Trump and Nauta were hit with new charges in the revised indictment, and both have pleaded not guilty to all charges.
