The verbal battle between allies of former President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) reached a new level after longtime Trump ally Roger Stone appeared to use a derogatory term to describe DeSantis's wife, Casey.
Stone, in a post responding to a former House candidate mocking Casey DeSantis for mentioning her children while on the 2024 campaign trail for her husband, used a common euphemism for c*** — "see you ne** Tuesd**" — to describe the governor's wife.

Stone later attempted to claim it was "NOT what I said" and called the reporting on his post a "smear."
DeSantis campaign manager James Uthmeier condemned Stone's attack on Casey DeSantis and said these "nasty things" were coming from "sanctioned agents" of Trump.
This is what we’re up against. It would be one thing if these were just crazy people saying nasty things. But they are sanctioned agents of DJT.

Casey DeSantis has been a target of Trump allies in the past, with some calling her "Walmart Melania" as a way of alleging she is a cheap imitation of Trump's wife. She responded to that specific attack earlier this month, saying it was "awesome" and complimented the former first lady as "gorgeous."
"That's the greatest thing you could call me. For me to be in the same sentence as Melania is a wonderful thing, she's gorgeous. That's great, I love it — score. And then also, yes, guilty as charged, I shop at Walmart. I have a six, five, and a three-year-old. Do you know how quickly they go out of these clothes," DeSantis said in a speech earlier this month.
