President Donald Trump demanded that CBS’s 60 Minutes be “terminated immediately,” citing the “election fraud” the network conducted in its interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

CBS released the transcripts of its Oct. 6 interview with Harris on Wednesday, saying the transcripts show its interview with the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate was not “doctored or deceitful.” However, Trump insisted that 60 Minutes “100% removed Kamala’s horrible election changing answers to questions” and that the show then “replaced” these with different answers from later in the interview.

“This was Election changing ‘stuff,’ Election Interference and, quite simply, Election Fraud at a level never seen before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “CBS should lose its license, and the cheaters at 60 Minutes should all be thrown out, and this disreputable ‘NEWS’ show should be immediately terminated.”

Trump then questioned whether CBS and 60 Minutes were paid off, citing how the U.S. Agency for International Development has been “illegally paying large sums of money to Politico” and other outlets. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said over $8 million in taxpayer dollars was used “subsidizing subscriptions to Politico on the American taxpayers’ dime” and that this would be halted via the Department of Government Efficiency.

Trump has long accused CBS and 60 Minutes of editing their interview with Harris, with the president even suing CBS for $10 billion. The network has maintained that it made edits for the reasons it always does, “for time, space, or clarity.”

Additionally, 60 Minutes provided the transcript to the Federal Communications Commission, which is investigating the matter. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said, “CBS did not ask for confidential or non-public treatment of these materials.”
