NextImg:Trump boosted by TV advertising supporting his energy agenda

EXCLUSIVE — The Restoring Energy Dominance Coalition has launched a six-figure ad buy supporting President Donald Trump‘s “all-of-the-above” energy policy.

The group, led by former Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette and former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt, who both served in Trump’s first administration, launched last week to promote his energy agenda.

“America is entering an age of unprecedented energy demand,” reads the text of the 30-second spot. “Manufacturing is coming home. AI is changing the game. To rise to the challenge, to win, we need to kick American energy production into overdrive.”

The ad, which will run in the Washington market, ends by saying that “with President Trump’s all-of-the-above energy approach, America, we are back.”

Trump campaigned heavily on ramping up energy production in America while decrying electric vehicle mandates and policies that he says will increase reliance on adversaries such as Russia.

Meanwhile, Trump’s critics say his tariffs on Canada will raise gas prices as the U.S. gets significant amounts of oil from its northern neighbor. Tariffs on most Canadian products are set at 25%, though energy will be taxed at a relatively low 10% rate if they go into effect at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Interior Secretary Doug Burgum argued that tariffs can help bring more investment into the U.S., including for energy, because domestically made products will not be subject to the import duties.

“As a state, if you said, ‘Wow, we are going to tariff foreign products and we’re going to have no tariffs at home, we’re going to lower energy prices at home, we are going to bring manufacturing and jobs back,'” he said on Fox & Friends. “If you’re trying to attract foreign investment in this country, there’s never been a better time to do it than right now.”
