Allies of President-elect Donald Trump condemned a left-wing watchdog group after it accused one of his top Cabinet nominees, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., of committing voter fraud.

The group Accountable.US filed a complaint with the New York State Board of Elections on Tuesday, urging it to investigate concerns that Kennedy registered and voted “from a New York residence at which he does not legally reside” during the 2024 election.

Trump’s communications director shot back at the allegations, which were first reported by Politico, in a statement slamming the “completely partisan and politically-motivated” complaint.

“This ‘watchdog’ group is run by Obama/Biden/Kamala/Hillary staffers and Democrat donors,” Steven Cheung wrote in a post to X.

Caroline Ciccone, president of Accountable.US, wrote in the complaint, “There is demonstrable evidence that Mr. Kennedy illegally voted from an address that is not his residence.”

“By knowingly voting from a residence that several New York courts had already determined was not his legal residence, Mr. Kennedy blatantly violated” New York laws, Ciccone said.

Kennedy is Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services, the country’s largest federal health agency.

During his bid for the presidency last year, Kennedy faced multiple legal skirmishes from left-leaning groups challenging the validity of a New York address he submitted to election authorities to gain ballot access in the state. In September, the Supreme Court denied Kenney’s appeal to stay on the ballot. The New York home in Katonah is the same one that Accountable.US accused Kennedy of using to allegedly illegally vote in the Empire State.

At the time, Kennedy and his allies argued he rented a room in Katonah and said left-wing activists were trying to keep him off the ballot on mere technicalities. The HHS nominee’s affiliates have painted the address battle as efforts by the Democratic Party to destroy opposition to itself, sentiments that were echoed Wednesday by American Values, a pro-Kennedy and Trump super PAC.

American Values argued that Accountable.US’s ties to the Democratic National Committee have rendered it little more than a political arm against Kennedy.

“The DNC continues their political law-fare against RFK Jr. now accusing him of voter fraud!” the organization said in a post to X.

The Washington Examiner reached out to the Kennedy team for comment.
