Forbes magazine named transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney to its "30 Under 30 Social Media" list, which highlights 30 up-and-coming social media personalities who have shaped the "creator economy."

"Mulvaney, who was named a 2023 Forbes Top Creator and raked in an estimated $2 million in earnings last year, found herself at the center of an unexpected political crossfire after Bud Light paid her to post a video featuring a custom beer with her face on the can, sparking a widespread boycott of the brand," Forbes wrote in its profile of Mulvaney. "Nevertheless, she's landed partnerships with companies like Nike and MAC, and she has urged brands to go beyond 'just inclusive marketing' to stand up for what's right."

THE ADMINISTRATIVE STATE MUST BE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL

"I think I'm becoming a bit of business woman," Mulvaney gushed in a Forbes social media post.

The former Bud Light spokesperson, a biological male who identifies as a woman, added, "As much as I love the creative side, I love getting smarter. I want to know everything. I want to know how it all works. I'm interested in being in front of the camera but also producing. I just think, why not learn it all?"

Mulvaney told Forbes that the intention of the TikTok series was not initially about being a spokesperson for the trans community.

The former actor said the newfound success "happened really, really fast" and reflects more about "where, when, and how" the social media star pushes activism.

The LGBT activist gained viral fame hosting the TikTok series "Days of Girlhood." When Mulvaney began taking on sponsors and partnerships, Bud Light's deal with the activist during March Madness garnered the most attention.

The Mulvaney controversy cost Bud Light's parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev about $395 million in U.S. sales as of August.

By the end of the summer, Bud Light had lost its long-held top-selling American beer title to its rival Modelo, a Mexican beer.

In early October, sales of Bud Light continued to sink with volumes down 30% year-over-year for the four weeks, according to the Beer Business Daily newsletter.

In what could be considered tough financial times for the company, Billy Busch Jr., the heir of the Anheuser-Busch brewing company, put his Malibu mansion worth over $4 million up for sale.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) recently sent a letter to Captiv8, the ad firm that brokered the partnership between Mulvaney and Bud Light, to inquire about how and when it brokered the partnership.
