Scott launched his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination last month. During his launch event, Scott said, "America is not a nation in decline. But under Joe Biden, we have become a nation in retreat."

The senator has already received the endorsements of two of his Senate colleagues, Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) and Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD).

Scott also recently rolled out 140 endorsements from current and former elected officials from the all-important early primary state of South Carolina. Notably, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is also campaigning for the job of commander in chief.

Scott currently enjoys the support of 4% of potential Republican primary voters, putting him in fourth place, according to Morning Consult. Ahead of the senator is Trump with 59%, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) with 19%, and former Vice President Mike Pence with 8%.
