Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) said Democrats are trying to "ruin America" on the second stop of his listening tour promoting Republican values ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Scott said in an interview on Fox News Sunday that Democrats are to blame for political division, as polls show how polarized the parties are over President Joe Biden's job performance and the direction of the country.

TIM SCOTT CALLS FOR 'COMMON GROUND' CONSERVATISM IN CAMPAIGN-STYLE TRIP TO IOWA

“The left is trying to sell a drug of victimhood and the narcotic of despair,” Scott said. “The left today seems to be working on a blueprint on how to ruin America.”

Recent polling shows that 62% of Americans believe that Biden has accomplished very little in his time in office. However, 77% of Democrats polled said he had accomplished a "great deal," compared to 66% of independents and 93% of Republicans.

Scott said the Democratic Party's failures should not be viewed as a negative but rather incentive for the Republicans to move forward in the next election.

"Why is that negative to point out the fact that under Joe Biden’s leadership, we’ve had the highest inflation in 40 years?” Scott said.

The South Carolina senator has yet to announce his bid for president in 2024 amid heavy speculation. If he enters the race, he will join former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as the major players in the GOP presidential primary.

Scott called for "common ground" during his Faith in America listening tour stop in Des Moines, Iowa, pitching himself as the best alternative for polarizing candidates vying for the White House.

The senator focused on bashing Democrats during the listening tour, saying that they were taking "aim at our patriotism" and amplifying "attention-seeks who say America is an evil country."

He highlighted Democrats' response to abortion, crime, and immigration as attempts to stoke division among Americans.

“In other words, if you wanted to ruin America, you’d keep doing exactly what Joe Biden has let the far Left do to our country for the last two years,” he said in Iowa.

Scott launched his listening tour in Charleston, South Carolina, before heading to Iowa. He is expected to attend a donor conference in Austin, Texas, after his stops in the Hawkeye State.
