Gen Z for Change, a TikTok account made up of over 500 TikTok influencers, received some $300,000 from Accelerate Action Inc. in 2022, according to public tax filings. In turn, Accelerate Action Inc. received about two-thirds of its funding in 2020 and 2021 from Soros' Open Foundation when it shelled out $5.5 million to the nonprofit.

The TikTok handle @GenZforChange began as @TikTokforBiden and has been filed as a nonprofit 501c4 since 2021. However, it remains to be seen how it distributes its contributions as there weren't tax forms available on the IRS website.
Biden began tapping TikTok influencers in March 2022, shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine. At the time, the Democratic National Committee paid Palette, a talent management firm, a retainer to cover the travel and expense costs of eight influencers who traveled for a meeting with the president at the White House. Palette's founder, Daniel Daks has served as an advisor to Gen Z for Change. Later, the group was invited to the White House again when Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act in August of that year.
“We believe that more, rather than fewer, voters, including among younger and historically marginalized communities, should be empowered to participate in America’s democracy through free and fair elections," an Open Society Foundations spokesperson told the New York Post. "We’re proud to support organizations working with new technologies to spur civic participation and help enable more inclusive, just, and open societies.”
