As Democratic politicians continue their unwise embrace of all things transgender , Republican presidential candidates should take a different approach.
Instead of pushing the idea that gender is limitless and that it is a spectrum, Republican presidential candidates should embrace reality in their campaigns. This Pride month, they should commit to recognizing two genders if elected president and eliminating instances of the federal government pretending otherwise.
AMERICANS DESERVE ACCOUNTABILITY BEFORE FISA IS REAUTHORIZEDMost people in America embrace common sense regarding gender — 75% know only two genders exist, according to a 2021 Rasmussen poll . Average people know the Tumblr genders are not real, no matter what liberal politicians say.
Yet, under President Joe Biden’s administration, the federal government is embracing the fringe progressive view of gender. Under his administration, the State Department is issuing nonbinary gender X passports, a marker used for people who identify as a gender other than male or female.
Under a Republican administration, no government forms should include a nonbinary gender option or a field for people to list their preferred pronouns . Males use he/him/his pronouns, and females use she/her/hers pronouns. The government should not feed into the nonsense of people having they/them or ze/zir pronouns .
Additionally, several federal departments, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services , refer to pregnant women as “pregnant people” in many instances on their respective websites. Since men cannot get pregnant , the usage of terms such as “pregnant people,” “birthing people,” and “menstruators” is confusing and unnecessary. If a woman identifies as a man or some made-up gender, it does not change the fact that she is a woman.
Given that the Biden administration has been able to embrace this nonsense without passing any laws, a Republican administration could eliminate it the same way. If the Biden State Department can decide to start issuing gender X passports, a Republican administration can stop doing so as well. If the Air Force can allow its members to put their preferred pronouns in their email signatures, it can also end that policy. And if the Biden administration can change government websites and forms to include the phrases pregnant or birthing people, the next administration can revert them back to “women.”
Ideally, the next Republican president would issue an executive order on his or her first day in office urging all federal agencies to recognize the existence of two genders, calling on them to eliminate anything that directly says or even implies otherwise. A president should embrace reality, not woke pandering.
