The Republican National Committee will hold its third primary debate on Nov. 8 in Miami, Florida, a person familiar with the RNC's process confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
The news comes as the RNC prepares to hold its second debate on Sept. 27 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
TRUMP LOOKING FORWARD TO 2024 GENERAL ELECTION, PAST THE PRIMARIES AND MAYBE 2020
The RNC has not released the full list of eligible candidates who will appear onstage next week but former President Donald Trump, the current frontrunner, will not attend the second debate. He also snubbed last month's first debate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin opting to release a prerecorded interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
This time around Trump will hold a primetime speech to more than 500 striking United Auto Workers as the second debate is airing. Trump also plans to skip the third debate according to reporting from Bloomberg. The former president's decision to skip the first debate has not meaningfully cut into his large lead over all the other 2024 GOP presidential officials.
President Joe Biden's reelection campaign is tapping Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) to lead counterprogramming efforts during the second debate.
