The View co-host Sunny Hostin expressed her disappointment in what she called the "problematic" nature of the investigation into Hunter Biden following the announcement that President Joe Biden's son had been indicted on gun charges.

The legal expert on the panel claimed that "99% of these cases" surrounding firearms, like that of Biden's, aren't prosecuted and only get a warning. Biden has instead been indicted with three firearm charges. Hostin referred to the indictment as "political prosecution."

"What I don’t believe is political prosecution are [Hunter Biden's] business dealings in Ukraine and China. I think that’s something that should be looked into," Hostin admitted. "He also seemed to, in my opinion, present that he had access to his father. There were phone calls like let’s speak to the big guy; that’s problematic. Not as problematic as Jared [Kushner] getting $2 billion from the Middle East and not as problematic as Ivanka [Trump] getting all those trademarks in China. That doesn’t seem to be investigated."

Hostin added that the daughter and son-in-law of former President Donald Trump "should be looked at."

"It’s not just a real issue for Hunter Biden and Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, it's a real issue in Washington in general. The amount of people who are spouses, even stupid siblings, you know, related, nice thrice removed. God knows there are children who are not qualified to do anything getting great jobs based on their father’s name," fellow host Ana Navarro said.

"So that is something that Republicans and Democrats both have to look at them, but none of them will. None of them will because they don’t want their children and their spouses and their dogs and their cousins and their, you know, to not be making the money and bringing in the moolah, monetizing on their last name," Navarro went on.

Biden is alleged to have lied on his application to purchase a Colt Cobra illegally in 2018. Since the crime happened sometime in October, the charges came just a month before the statute of limitations expired.
