It should come as no surprise that pro-abortion activists support the savagery of the radical Islamist terrorist group Hamas that we witnessed in Israel just days ago. So-called pro-choice advocates dehumanize innocents, both unborn and under siege.

The Left’s blase attitude toward life (and women) heralds a sinister truth: compromise the sanctity of life in one domain, and you'll soon see it discarded everywhere.

As if the onslaught of Hamas missiles and rockets, the deluge of gunfire and grenades, were not savage enough, inside modest Israeli homes, horrific acts of brutality transpired: innocent civilians, including children, were murdered, burned alive, and   beheaded at the hands of Hamas, according to Israeli forces and footage of the attack released by Hamas. This is not some grim fiction or ancient tragedy revisited; it's today's barbaric reality.

But don't be fooled into thinking these acts of pure terror are exclusive to far-off war zones. Right here in the U.S., there are those who not only want to take us back to the unfettered abortion regime of Roe v. Wade but who take it a step further and deny healthcare to children who survive abortion procedures.

The truth is that the atrocity of abortion is just as brutal as the images coming out of Israel. Late-term Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, for example, has famously bragged about decapitating infants outside of the womb.

Consider the depravity of pro-third-trimester-abortion Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). Amid the murder of babies and raping of women in Israel, she saw fit to proudly   parade a Palestinian flag outside her office. She refused to condemn the barbarity of Hamas’s slaughter of civilians. This very same advocate of late-term abortions remains eerily silent on the sanctity of life in the womb.

Tlaib is hardly the only Democrat willing to look away from the loss of innocent lives to advance her own agenda. In 2019, Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam promoted a state measure to significantly loosen restrictions on late-term abortions and introduce infanticide. He went where no Democrat had gone before and described the process of infanticide on the radio for everyone to hear,   saying , “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired.” This is a policy Hamas is proud to execute.

This tone-deaf disregard for human life is no longer whispered at cocktail parties but is now common among the Left. And it’s not limited to modern groups or movements. Dig a little deeper into history, and the roots of such a chilling disregard for life emerge even more clearly.
