Hamas slaughtered 1,200 Israeli civilians on Oct. 7 and then ran to gullible left-wingers across the globe to whine about Israel daring to retaliate. Now, Hamas is launching propaganda rallies as it hands over live and murdered hostages while Palestinians celebrate murdered babies.
Through it all, countless Western politicians, media outlets, and global organizations have dutifully served as useful idiots for Palestinian propaganda, whether that be from the fabricated “genocide” in Gaza to Hamas’s attempted show of strength in parading tortured hostages and children’s corpses on their way back to Israel. Each and every one of the people and organizations who portrayed the Palestinians as anything other than genocidal aggressors has participated in their propaganda operations.
The International Committee of the Red Cross is one such example. The ICRC has become part of Hamas’s hostage “victory” parade, present as Hamas perp walks Israeli civilians before a crowd of bloodthirsty Palestinians. Hamas forces them to wave and show grace to their captors and brings Israeli hostages to watch as others are finally given their freedom. All the while, the ICRC has its staff sit there and lend legitimacy to this grand propaganda show.
This all came to a head with the transfer of remains for the Bibas family. Shiri Bibas and her two children, 9-month-old Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel, were murdered by Hamas in captivity. Their corpses were handed over in coffins, which Hamas paraded in front of a crowd as trophies and posed with in front of a mural depicting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a vampire. Music blared as if it were a festival.
The ICRC was a part of all this. It did not even bother to confirm that the bodies of the murdered hostages were really them, as Hamas initially handed over a different body that it tried to pass off as Shiri. The ICRC did nothing, just like it did nothing when Hamas prevented it from visiting the Israeli hostages the terrorist group was holding.
In a piece for the Washington Examiner, the spokesman for the ICRC stated that the organization can’t visit hostages or stop grand hostage celebration ceremonies because Hamas calls the shots. Instead, he touted the ICRC’s “neutrality” and said, “Our role is not to make moral judgments but to work with warring parties to ensure that the fundamental rules of war, the humane treatment of prisoners and the protection of civilians, are upheld by all sides.”
And yet, the ICRC can’t “ensure” that. Its “neutrality” extends to referring to Palestinian terrorists being exchanged by Israel as “detainees.” The ICRC, in these hostage-for-terrorist prisoner exchanges, has served as nothing more than a glorified taxi service, aiding Palestinian propaganda in the process while wanting a pat on the back for its sanctimonious “neutrality” stance.
This “neutrality” has been a problem in liberal media as well. Claims from the Gaza Health Ministry (i.e. Hamas) are regularly presented as fact, or at least as defensible claims, without any of the “without evidence” snark that so often follows liberal media reports about conservative politicians. For example, the New York Times, the Associated Press, and the BBC (among others) pushed the claim that Israel launched an air strike on a hospital in Gaza, killing 500 civilians. As it turned out, the “hospital” that was bombed was actually a parking lot, 500 people were not killed, and the rocket came from Palestinian terrorists, not the Israeli military.
This “neutrality” has played out similarly during the coverage of the Bibas murders. BBC correspondent Jon Donnison said, “The propaganda efforts by both Hamas and Israel over the hostage release are pretty nauseating,” comparing terrorists celebrating dead babies with Israel objecting to that celebration. The BBC called terrorists giving a random corpse back to Israel instead of Shiri a “mix-up,” giving the terrorists the benefit of the doubt.
The Associated Press, meanwhile, painted as fact Hamas’s claim that Israel killed 48,000 Palestinians while adding that “without evidence” snark to Israel’s claim that it has killed 17,000 Hamas combatants. The outlet similarly parroted Hamas’s claim that the Bibas family was killed by Israeli airstrikes.
Much of the American education system has similarly positioned itself on the side of Hamas terrorists. The Chicago Teachers Union has repeatedly inserted itself to complain about Israel daring to defend itself against genocidal terrorists. Multiple universities have fostered antisemitic campus environments that have led to throngs of students launching illegal protests in support of terrorists. As of last November, 170 universities have chapters of “Faculty for Justice in Palestine,” and multiple universities had to move on from presidents or administrators who either coddled antisemites on campus or mocked Jewish students and leaders for being concerned about these antisemitic displays.
Then there are the American politicians who have positioned themselves on the side of Hamas. Chief among them is Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). She launched into a crying fit while repeating the false story that Israel bombed a hospital. She has claimed Israel is committing “ethnic cleansing,” one of the many lies she spouts that give tacit support for the terrorists’ actions. (After all, if Israel is committing “ethnic cleansing,” Hamas should logically “defend itself”).
Tlaib is joined by the rest of her progressive, antisemitic “Squad,” including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has repeatedly insinuated that Jewish money explains American support for Israel, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a self-professed non-expert on the issue who nonetheless lies about Israeli “occupation” and wishes Israel didn’t have the Iron Dome missile defense system to protect itself from terrorist rockets.
Senators on the Left have similarly shifted this way, whether it is Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) wanting to cut off military aid to Israel completely as it fights for its survival or Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), who has rigorously defended the United Nations agency that covers for, and had employees who took part in, Hamas terrorist activities. The International Criminal Court has similarly become a global promoter of antisemitism, and Senate Democrats have defended it.
All of these people and organizations have made themselves willing participants in Hamas propaganda. Global organizations, media outlets, universities, teachers unions, and American politicians have all become Hamas propagandists by trying to pretend this conflict is anything but one of good against evil. On the one side is a democracy trying to protect its people from being slaughtered as they were on Oct. 7. On the other is a genocidal terrorist group parading dead babies in coffins to crowds of bloodthirsty civilians who helped hold Israelis hostage.
MIKE WALTZ DEMANDS HAMAS CHANGE ITS ‘UNACCEPTABLE’ HANDLING OF CEASEFIRE DEAL
Any person or organization lending the terrorists legitimacy through their presence or rhetoric is putting themselves on the side of Hamas. That includes the ICRC, letting itself be used in Hamas propaganda rallies parading dead babies. It includes every politician and “journalist” drawing a moral equivalence between Hamas and Israel. It includes everyone reporting “Gaza Health Ministry” claims as fact and anyone peddling lies that Israel is committing genocide, that Gaza is being ethnically cleansed, or that Israel is committing “war crimes.”
Anything other than the recognition that Hamas terrorists start every conflict, that the “genocide in Gaza” is a fraud, and that Israel conducts itself in a far more restrained manner than it should because of international pressure is morally bankrupt. You are either on the side of the babies who were abducted and murdered or on the side of their murderers.
