Liberal media are fully in the tank for Vice President Kamala Harris. You can expect the lovefest to continue into her presidency should she win, as the media turn into her unofficial public relations team.

Harris has not been the presumptive Democratic nominee for a week yet, but the media are intent on recreating the worshipful coverage they had for former President Barack Obama. Politico declared Harris a “Gen Z Meme Queen.” The New York Times and Washington Post broke out the puff pieces, the best (or worst) of which is about how Harris “has leaned into cooking in a way no other candidate has.”

Bloomberg’s Akayla Gardner, CNN’s Edward-Isaac Dovere, and BBC’s Courtney Subramanian breathlessly covered the clothes Harris was wearing as she made calls to win people’s support. And you can’t leave out the insufferable, extremely online discussion of Harris being “brat.”

When liberal media is not fawning over Harris’s clothes or cooking, it is rewriting history to help mitigate her political liabilities. Harris was tasked by President Joe Biden with addressing the border crisis, a problem the Biden administration has obviously failed to solve as the situation has worsened. Naturally, liberal media have to erase that responsibility from Harris’s past, with outlets such as Axios declaring it was conservative misinformation to brand Harris as the “border czar.”

Do you know who else called Harris Biden’s “border czar?” Axios. The outlet has since issued a correction acknowledging its role in this discourse to keep this dumb semantic game going and absolve Harris of any blame for the border crisis.

This is how it’s going to go for the rest of the year. As with Obama, liberal media intend to turn Harris into a celebrity, not a politician. They want puff pieces and softball interviews about her favorite music, her cooking, or anything about her other than the political policies she supports and the possible damage they would do to the country. It will continue if Harris wins, ushering in four years of fawning media coverage while branding conservative coverage of any scandal or failing policy as racist, sexist, or both.

Liberal media are entirely in the tank for Harris, jettisoning any notion that they will hold the powerful accountable or whatever other self-important nonsense that “journalists” tell themselves during Republican presidencies. If Republicans aren’t careful, this will last for the next four or eight years rather than just the next four months.
