The Biden administration has continued to serve as a doormat for terrorists, all because President Joe Biden is worried about losing the votes of terrorist-sympathizing activists.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin are continuing to pressure Israel into backing off its war against Hamas, thus allowing the terrorist group to survive behind its human shields so that it can slaughter Israeli civilians another day. According to Barak Ravid of Axios, “Austin told [Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav] Gallant that he needs to be aware of the atmosphere in Washington regarding the war in Gaza.” In other words, Israel needs to understand that Biden needs to pander to anti-Israel activists and make its decisions accordingly.
Blinken has been far worse, which is to be expected from the man whose tenure has been defined by serving as a doormat for the world’s worst actors. Blinken boasted about the Biden administration submitting a ceasefire resolution to the United Nations in exchange for Hamas releasing Israeli hostages. He did this full well knowing that Hamas would likely not agree and would certainly never abide by any ceasefire agreement. To add even more embarrassment, Russia and China then vetoed that resolution.
Blinken wasn’t done with just that, though. He then shamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in private and warned that Israel’s security and standing in the world are in danger because Israel is defending itself against Hamas and “you might not realize it until it’s too late.” This reads as more of an implicit threat that the United States will abandon Israel than anything given that Israel’s standing in the global community is already rather perilous, as evidenced by the United Nations’s antisemitic obsession with singling out Israel.

All of this continues to be in service of Biden’s reelection campaign, not actually defending and supporting an American ally. Biden and his team are continuing to try and pander to anti-Israel terrorist-sympathizing voters, whether they be in Dearborn, Michigan, or on the college campuses on which Democrats rely to churn out new base voters.
They continue to want Israel to be more sensitive to Biden’s reelection than to eliminating the terrorists who threaten the country’s very existence. They resort to shaming Israel for not prioritizing Biden’s campaign, and the shaming will only grow worse as the election inches closer and Biden remains historically unpopular.
