Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is filing a lawsuit against the Biden administration over one of the tools President Joe Biden launched to assist immigrants crossing into the country through the United States-Mexico border. The suit claims the CBP One mobile application is being used to avoid federal law.

"Time after time, my office has shown that we will fight back in court to defeat their unlawful open-borders policies,” Paxton said in a statement reported by Fox News.

CBP One, launched earlier this year, was designed to increase the number of appointments with Border Patrol available to immigrants who needed to submit an asylum application. Paxton argues the app is now being used to skirt federal immigration processes.

Paxton alleges that the administration is "illegally pre-approving more foreign aliens to enter the country and go where they please once they arrive" through CBP One.

Since the expiration of Title 42 on May 11, the White House has been hit with several lawsuits over its handling of the border crisis.

Florida's attorney general sued the Biden administration earlier this month in an attempt to block the release of immigrants into the state, according to a statement. Last week, a federal judge granted the state's request.

On the same day that Title 42 ended, the American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU of Northern California, the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies, and the National Immigrant Justice Center filed a lawsuit over the administration's recent changes to asylum regulations. The lawsuit also cited the “flawed CBP One mobile app,” listing obstacles the application presents for immigrants to secure an appointment.

"Joe Biden, Alejandro Mayorkas, and the entire Biden administration have prioritized creating and protecting new ways for illegal aliens to stream into this country, no matter the cost or consequence to struggling American citizens," Paxton said.
