Superman actor Dean Cain announced he is leaving California because “the policies are just terrible.”

The Hollywood star is following other celebrities who have decided to leave the Golden State over its high cost of living and rising crime.

REPUBLICAN PRIMARY: BIG TENT OR BIG TOP?

"I love California. It's the most beautiful state. Everything's wonderful about it except for the policies. The policies are just terrible. The fiscal policies, the soft-on-crime policies, the homelessness policies," Cain told Fox & Friends.

"The things that our leaders in California have been doing have driven out anybody who can really afford to get out,” he added. “People are flocking out of there in droves."

After selling his Malibu home for $6.25 million last month, Cain moved to Las Vegas.

"I've been here for two weeks now, and I can tell you, [it's a] smart move,” Cain said. “My son is ten times happier here in Las Vegas. If I wanted to do anything out of Malibu, it took me 45 minutes to an hour to get anywhere. Here, the longest I'm driving is 20 minutes.”

Actor Mark Wahlberg has also moved to Vegas, saying he now wants to help bring job growth involving the film, food, and apparel industries to the area.

“Vegas is so generous. I’ve been welcomed with open arms. I absolutely love it here. And, you know, I think people are excited about the idea of new industry being created,” Wahlberg told KVVU. “I think when people hear Las Vegas, they think of the Strip and casinos, which is fine, but 20 minutes away, it’s one of the most amazing communities that I’ve ever been a part of.”

“It’s all about faith and family. It’s thriving,” he continued. “The kids are doing fantastic. It’s very much about family here, which I love.”

Cain said Wahlberg “did a smart thing” by moving to Vegas and that he believes he, too, has “done a very, very smart thing."

The increase in people leaving California was noted in U-Haul’s annual report for 2022. It showed people are leaving California and Illinois at the highest rates.
