There's a different kind of white in the house.

At least, that appears to be the case after an "unknown item" that forced a short White House evacuation Sunday night initially tested positive for cocaine.

LET INDEPENDENCE DAY MEAN INDEPENDENT THOUGHT, NOT GROUPTHINK

“We have a yellow bar stating cocaine hydrochloride,” a District of Columbia firefighter said in radio communication at 8:49 p.m. Sunday, per the New York Post. The firefighter told a hazmat team to “bag it up and take it out."

President Joe Biden was at Camp David at the time of the discovery and initial search. The Secret Service has sent the item for additional testing and investigation, according to agency communications chief Anthony Guglielmi.

"On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area," Guglielmi said. "The DC Fire Department was called to evaluate and quickly determined the item to be non-hazardous. The item was sent for further evaluation and an investigation into the cause and manner of how it entered the White House is pending."

While the New York Post reported that the substance was found in the library, the Secret Service says it was actually found inside a "work area" of the White House's West Wing, though it did not provide specifics on the location.

Authorities are now conducting further tests and working to figure out how the substance got into the White House in the first place.

While much remains unknown at this point, first son Hunter Biden, 53, was on the premises on Friday before heading to Camp David with his father for the holiday weekend. The younger Biden has suffered previous bouts of addiction to crack cocaine, which he wrote about in his 2015 memoir Beautiful Things.

The first family returned to Washington on the morning of July 4, with Hunter Biden joined by wife Melissa Cohen and son Beau Biden.
